Ayurveda, a traditional system of medicine, highlights the importance of primarily preventive and therapeutic healthcare through dietary and lifestyle changes. In Ayurvedic literature, water is a vital component, with Ushnodaka (boiled and reduced warm water) being recognized for its properties. According to classical texts, Ushnodaka offers various physiological benefits, including enhanced Agni (~digestive fire), detoxification, and disease prevention. This study explores the mechanism of action, therapeutic applications, and preventive benefits of Ushnodaka, with Ayurvedic principles. Ushnodaka plays a significant role in digestion, detoxification, respiratory health, and disease management, supporting its incorporation into daily life for improved well-being. Further research is needed to validate its benefits using modern scientific methodologies.
